WINEMAKING


Grape Varieties: RedGrenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon.
The winemaking of “Argeles” aims to respect the maximum the varietal aromas and obtain a suitable structure; the result is a fruit ywine, pleasant in mouth. The fermentation temperature is between 25 – 26º C and maceration process adequate for a proper extraction of tannins, while respecting the primary aromas.
The malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and then starts aging in French oak barrels for 8 months.

Middle layer ruby, with purple hues that indicate youth and potential for bottle aging.
In its initial stage, in the nose is clean, emphasizing the varietal aromas, red fruit, pomegranate, combined with some lactic notes. In its evolution into contact with oxygen, more complex notes appear, highlighting the red plums, and a background of cocoa from its barrel aging.
The entrance in mouth is soft and fresh, giving a nice sense of balance. This wine is persistent, which re-emphasizes red fruit, plums with notes of the barrel aging that subsequently gain intensity from cocoa and toffee.
The overall impression is of a product with a balanced volume, lingering on the palate and easy to drink.

TASTING NOTES ARGELES 2009


Deep cherry red color with violet edge. In the initial stage, the nose is frank, highlighting varietal aromas, red fruits, pomegranate, joint with some lactic notes. In its evolution in presence of oxygen, appear notes more complex, highlighting red plums, and a fund of cocoa and toasted coming from its barrel aging.
The entry on the palate is soft and fresh, offering a nice balance. Once again in mouth highlight notes of berries, black fruits and plums. The aftertaste is persistent, with notes of fruit on liqueur, balsamic nuances and hints of barrel aging, cocoa and toffee.
The general impression is of a balanced product, with volume, lingering on the palate and easy to drink.
